Join Tony Mikla, DPT, CSCS, for a deep dive into the three core methodologies that have shaped his approach to performance physical therapy and human movement. Drawing from twenty years of experience and building KIME Performance, Tony unpacks how understanding Anatomy, Kinetic Linking, and Programming transformed not only his clinical results but also how he develops clinicians, designs environments, and accelerates patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Anatomy – Understanding the “Why Beneath the What”

    • Identify the difference between structural anatomy and functional anatomy in clinical decision-making.

    • Explain how tissue quality, load tolerance, and movement history interact to drive or limit performance.

  2. Kinetic Linking – Seeing the Whole Chain

    • Describe how energy and force are transferred through the kinetic chain during sport and movement.

    • Analyze common breakdowns in movement patterns and apply whole-system corrections instead of isolated fixes.

  3. Programming – Turning Knowledge into Systems

    • Construct progression models that integrate strength, speed, and power development safely back to performance.

    • Outline how deliberate programming shortens the path from competence to clinical excellence.

  4. Integration – The KIME Model

    • Discuss how Anatomy, Kinetic Linking, and Programming combine to form KIME’s provider-of-choice methodology.

    • Recognize how applying these principles supports both patient results and clinician career growth.

Tony is a leading sports physical therapist, performance coach, and researcher who teaches nationally and publishes in international journals. He previously managed Physical Therapy at EXOS in Phoenix, working with top professional athletes, and has served in roles including Medical Director for the Sacramento Sports Commission and adjunct faculty at Sacramento State and Northern Arizona University. He was a finalist for the NSCA Sports Medicine Specialist of the Year and received Sacramento’s 40 Under 40 Award.
